It seems that Paru pulls in the new Version 4.0.4 of alpm= which brings libalpm16 Suppot to 4.x releases and not only the 5.0 relea= se. But this only works when Paru is getting reinstalled via the AUR Pack= age. For example on EndeavourOS you need to switch from the EndevourOS Pa= ckage to the aur package for it to work.

I as a regular user of the software (like most I'd assume= ) have been adversely affected by its breakage. If adding a +1 is not see= n as a positive contribution to keep the momentum going on getting a reso= lve for end users then you fail to recognise the 'who' in all of this, th= e end user who just wants things to work once more.

I and no one else of a reasonable disposition expects the= maintainers to drop everything and focus on this 100%, it's after all an= opens source effort, but some of the negativity I've read of late on thi= s issue has been both childish and disrespectful to affected users.

We are all trying to help, we are all pitching in and we = are all behind the maintainer in wishing them that a speedy solution is a= rrived at so we can all get back to using this great open source contribu= tion.
