k zip `filename` to `extract_dir`

    Raises ``UnrecognizedFormat`` if `filename` is not a zipfile (as determined
    by ``zipfile.is_zipfile()``).  See ``unpack_archive()`` for an explanation
    of the `progress_filter` argument.
